How to Create Your Best Year Ever

Personally, I've never been much of a "New Year's Resolution" person. Rather than setting goals, I prefer to set intentions. And my intention for the coming New Year is to create my best year ever!
This year I intend to make feeling good and being in alignment with Source my number one priority. Some of my other intentions include following my bliss, growing my coaching practice and jewelry business, and moving to Maui. I've already done some of the energy work and now I get to just go about my business of being happy, taking inspired action and allowing the Universe to deliver my desires to me.
If you feel inspired to follow my lead in dumping resolutions and setting intentions instead, here's how you too can go about creating your best year ever:
Connect With Your Inner Being
Your Inner Being, also known as your Higher Self or Soul, is the non-physical part of you and can see your life from a broader perspective. It knows everything about you and what you want, and knows the easiest path to get you there. Without this conscious connection, getting where you want to go is more challenging, and the journey a lot less satisfying. If you prefer to take the path of least resistance, let your Inner Being lead the way.
Establish Your Emotional Grid
An emotional grid is a process Abraham-Hicks suggests we use as a means to manifest our desires. They teach that the grid is vibrational in nature and the starting point of creating what we want. It is the foundation and framework for our manifestations. Once the emotional basis is established, the grid will fill in with all kinds of things that match our vibration.
To build the foundation for your best year ever, decide how you want to feel throughout the year and choose positive emotions, such as happy, free, prosperous, confident, etc., to get the momentum going. I recommend writing these down in a journal or posting them on a vision board so you can be reminded daily what your intentions are.
Clarify Your Intentions
Once you have connected with your Inner Being and established how you want to feel, it's time for some specifics. What would you like to accomplish in the coming year and why? What will bring you joy? If you're not sure, your emotional grid is enough to create an epic year, but it is so fun clarifying what you want and watching it unfold just as you intended. Again, I recommend writing it down and adding more details as you they come to you.
Act On Your Inspirations
As the days unfold, you will be guided by your Inner Being through impulses, synchronicity, and your emotions (feeling good means you're moving in the right direction, not feeling good means you're heading the wrong way). Pay attention and follow your inspirations as they arise. In the mean time, practice alignment (meditation, appreciation, visualization, scripting, etc) and go about your day with joy and a positive attitude. Being happy is fertile ground for your desires to manifest.
Enjoy The Journey
Like a painter or a potter, it's fun to create and watch your ideas take shape. But there is more to it then the end result. As you wait eagerly for your manifestations to take form, remember to enjoy the journey, because truly, that's where the satisfaction is. All the fun and joyous moments along the way are what life is all about. When you stay conscious of this every day, you can't help but create your best year ever - every year!

15 Habits of Extremely Happy People

Happiness is every person's goal in life. Even though most people have no idea of what to do to be happy and what happiness really adds up to. We all strive to stay relevant to our goal.
1. They are not self-absorbed
This is a person that generally does not make everything about themselves. They are open-minded and allow their thinking to go beyond their heads. They welcome other people's suggestions and criticism. They don't take other people's opinions about them personally. They build their character based on well-thought out choices and opinions. They positively accept correction from people and also appreciate other people's way of life.
2. They are appreciative and contented
Being contented and showing appreciation is a character trait that most people don't have. They take a lot of things for granted not knowing they deprive themselves of the small joys of the world. Being able to appreciate someone else for how they have dressed, made their hair, their new pair of shoes, being able to see the other person laugh and smile and having contributed to them having a nice day is even a greater way of being happy.
3. Making alone time and meditating
This is a vital part of being happy and knowing yourself better. Having alone time helps one check on their character, know what makes them happy, sad, set life goals, etc. When meditating, one learns what to focus on with life, what makes their life better and how to better themselves. Making sure to have some alone time also keeps someone in a peaceful mood and helps them to face their fears.
4. Doing things that make them genuinely happy
Being happy is a full-time job, so each of us needs to find what genuinely makes them happy and avoid hypocrisy. Doing what genuinely makes you happy will help someone from harboring hate and toxic feelings caused by forced happiness and pretending to be happy for everyone else's sake. Most people have an illusion of happiness and they don't try and find genuine happiness or what activities genuinely make them happy. So they end up feeling unfulfilled and sad. So, finding genuine activities that make you happy is a great step to being extremely happy.
5. Having a positive attitude towards life
Life brings a lot of challenges with it and the sad part is life challenges are inevitable. People have to find better ways to cope with that. People with positive mindsets have it easier when difficulties come to their path. They see problems as challenges that they have to face to pass a given stage and enable them to relate to things in a better way. Those who are afraid of challenges will always feel condemned and sad because they never know their way through.
6. Being at peace with yourself, friends, associates, and family
You should try, as much as possible, to be at peace with those close to you. These include friends, family, work associates and, even your partner. These people play a major role, what they do can directly affect.
7. Enjoying every moment
Most people take for granted moments spent with other people; either playing, out for coffee or chilling in the house and even time spent with their family. They fail to maximize the fun they would have had during these times. This is also a way of harboring regrets and unfulfilled moments that people have. Hence having bad days and tough times.
8. Respecting yourself and not settling for mediocre
People who know what they want in life don't settle. They know their purpose, set goals and work towards them. Despite the challenges they might face on their way to success, such people don't give up. They are grounded and they don't settle for mediocre results that are unfulfilling to them. They know their self-worth and they work at achieving what they set their minds to.
9. Staying healthy
Health is a major contributor to happiness. This entails having good eating habits. Make sure you have a balanced diet, take lots of water and make sure your meals are hygienically prepared. This will help you avoid sicknesses and stay healthy. Exercises also helps people stay in shape and avoid diseases caused by unhealthy eating, it also helps someone unwind and feel relaxed. Ensuring one is clean by bathing, putting on makeup, perfume. This helps boost someone's confidence and makes them feel good about themselves.
10. Rewarding and feeling good about yourself
Everyone loves gifts and being appreciated. Most people forget that you can buy yourself gifts, appreciate yourself and feel good about it. We all have our shameful struggles or our bad habits that we aren't proud of. When you stop a bad habit and no one notices, treat yourself out, buy yourself some new belt. People might not know how big a deal the situation was or how much you struggled with it. Awarding, and giving yourself credit for it, is not a bad thing. This will help you see yourself as an achiever and will also boost your self-confidence.
11. Surrounding yourself with people and things that bring positivity in your life
The people and things someone surrounds themselves with say a lot about them. They highly contribute to someone's character and thinking. If you surround yourself with people who are always about the positive side of life and encouraging one another to be better versions of themselves, then there are high chances that that is the kind of person you will be. This character building technique is important in our lives. You should be careful who you relate with because they influence you in a wonderful way.
12. Treating people with kindness, respect and being happy for them
One can create happiness by seeing other people happy. This is also a way of trying to live a fulfilling life. Help people out when you can, reach out to them when they need your help. Visit the patients in hospitals, help out in orphanages, give food to the homeless. You feel fulfilled when you are able to make someone smile and be happy. Treat your friend who delivered a presentation. These are some of the ways in which being kind and helpful to others can bring to you happiness through these simple gestures.
13. Not comparing yourself with other people
Comparing yourself, your personal achievements and successes with those of other people is not a healthy way of being happy. Most people forget that everyone is totally different from others and we all have different struggles in life. Comparing yourself to other people is an injustice to yourself and you end up degrading yourself and end up leading some sad, unmeaningful life. You should try and better yourself from what you have. You should not consider another person's success makes them better than you for any reason. Focus on bettering yourself on what makes you happy and fulfilled. Make your own path to achieving your goals and dreams.
14. Have life-improving goals
Most people settle for what they are offered even when deep down they know it is not what they want or deserve. This ends up making them feel less of a person or not fully recognized by people. Make sure you set goals that help you become a better person. Either mentally, financially or physically. Strive to make the best out of yourself and when faced with challenges don't despair. Make the best out of your worst experiences.
15. Allowing yourself to be human
We focus so much on other people and make considerations for them rather than for ourselves. We forget that we also hurt, feel, cry and make mistakes. A lot of people are so focused on their mistakes and setbacks, they forget that they also fall, fail and make mistakes, which is okay. They should accept that mistakes are inevitable, and you can always make the best out of them and learn something. Forgive yourself as often as possible, accept your faults and apologize when needed, or when you know you are at fault. Don't forget, you are just as human as everyone else and, just like them, you also can make mistakes and be at fault.
Conclusion
We are all entitled to being happy and finding fulfillment in whatever we decide to do with our lives. People should realize their happiness solely depends on their choices and perception about life and what it brings with it.

The Importance of Having a Good Perspective on Life

How many times have we had an opinion on something, been convinced that we were right, only to have someone else turn up with previously unconsidered information or introduce a different viewpoint, thus prompting a whole new way of thinking? Being ready to listen to another perspective is important. It keeps our minds flexible and adaptable and is an important part of staying youthful and tolerant of what else is happening in the world.
When we share how we feel about something and discuss our approach we're expanding all our minds. We're giving an indication of how our thinking works, our perspective on life. Some people's automatic default is negative. They're convinced that things are bound to go wrong, seem to always anticipate the worst. Others think differently and are more positive and optimistic. Our outlook pre-determines how much we let external factors influence us. That's why having a good perspective is so important.
- If we regard something as scary then we're bound to behave in a more measured, cautious, apprehensive way. Feeling nervous or afraid can deter us from trying too hard. We protect ourselves by not stepping too far from our safe place. Yet we could instead treat setbacks as minor hurdles or learning points, which will often result in us hardly noticing them. We won't think twice as our concentration flows into looking for options or solutions in order to keep going.
When we feel confident and hopeful about a situation we're more relaxed and focussed on a positive outcome. There's a saying that if you expect something to be good or bad, hard or easy, guess what - you're right! We set in place a framework based on how we see things working out.
- Our mindset automatically seeps into our approach to life and influences how we handle relationships, what we expect from people, what we anticipate happening. That mindset then impacts on how others treat us. Eleanor Roosevelt reportedly said, 'we teach people how to treat us'. Our expectations can alter the dynamics of a relationship. A winning philosophy generates the best chance of a good experience.
- If we're feeling happy or sad, that too can colour our interpretation of a situation. For example, seeing several people we know chatting and laughing can be viewed in two completely different ways, dependent on how we're feeling at the time. On a bad day we may be sensitive and feel uneasy, convinced that they're talking and laughing about us. We may already be feeling embarrassed, unhappy and witnessing their laughter reinforces our already fragile mindset.
On a good day we may not even notice those people, or we may simply think that they're having a pleasant time. Our perspective is influenced by our personal circumstances and inner dialogue. It affects how we interpret their behaviour. The right perspective makes all the difference and is a huge factor in how we then choose to respond.
- Taking time to ask questions, being genuinely interested in the answers and caring enough to try to understand what's being said is also relevant in supporting us having a good perspective. Knowledge, interest, information and genuine discussion gives us a forum in which to explore other viewpoints and opinions. Mental growth occurs grow when we're happy to respectfully question and understand other peoples' attitudes, ideas and views. Patience and tolerance are part of this approach.
- Our background, parents and schooling, how we've been raised, all have a massive bearing on our perspective on life. We may have clear views, for example, on the role of men and women, what constitutes a good marriage, the importance of looks and material possessions. We may feel incredulous that other people have different viewpoints, that the things that matter to us are of little significance to them. Understanding or at least being able to respect and defend their right to their opinions is an important part of forming successful adult relationships.
- Communication should be a two-way activity and sharing our opinions helps us negotiate ways to comfortably live together, helps others understand where we're coming from, why we feel the way we do and then perhaps be able to refine our perspectives. Just as we may feel strongly about how other people should behave, so others may also hold their own definite views, views that are diametrically opposed to ours.
And they will, no doubt, have valid, justifiable reasons for having those views. Sharing and learning about their reasoning may enable us to moderate or modify our perspective and help us become more tolerant and flexible. Listening provides an opportunity for reflection and then to evolve with each other.
Having the right perspective on life helps us improve our outlook, have a more vibrant, upbeat approach to life and oil the wheels of our interactions with others. Everyone benefits when we have a good, open-minded perspective on life.

How To Stay Focused

The Purpose Of Our Life Is To Contribute

The purpose of our life is to contribute to helping us all to grow as conscious and responsible human beings, and this includes guiding us to discover and accept the purpose of our life; inspiring us to feel more motivation, energy, and passion; helping us to abandon weakening relationships and attitudes, and building a loving support network. We also teach ourselves to achieve a stable financial abundance by doing what we love to do and encourage us to make an authentic contribution to humanity and life in general; to finally experience the kind of reality that we always knew was our destiny to live. We are here to express and share our creative gifts and talents, to give and receive love, and be happy.
It merely takes the time it takes, as for any growth, and we can certainly get where we already are, and expand happily to infinity. All the resources that we're collecting, such as techniques, books, situations, friends, and Masters, are to support us to make conscious decisions on our path of personal development and give us the courage to carry them forward. It means having the maturity to take 100% responsibility for our health, career, finances, relationships, emotions, habits, and spiritual beliefs. To succeed in this endeavor requires us to take an in-depth look inside ourselves and consciously decide what kind of person we are, in our intimacy, and make sure that our outer reality corresponds to the inner one.
The purpose of life is to facilitate us to achieve extraordinary efficiency, maintaining the perfect energy balance, where our thoughts, feelings, actions, emotions, and skills work together to create the individual and universal reality that we surely desire and deserve. Personal development is not hard work; it takes only perseverance and patience. If we look for quick and superficial solutions, and we have no real interest in a continuous and lasting personal evolution, we can also take the suggestions given to us for our contingent situations, even if all the available information is specific to those who care about individual and spiritual growth and undertakes to note and implement them.
Life encourages us to live more consciously, to find the courage to face the inconvenient sides of our journey, and to solve the profound problems that we have not yet had the opportunity, time, desire, and strength to resolve. It invites us to share practical, simple, and useful ideas to make essential changes to our way of being and seeing things, all things, small and large, and align ourselves with our destiny to begin to live our full potential. It teaches us that perfection is already in place, but that is not the point. The point is that we succeed, definitively and happily, to place ourselves in a good life-path of practice and positive growth, the path of our soul, where we indeed find all the necessary support for our journey of spiritual evolution.

Finding My Purpose - John Maxwell

The Amazing Secret of The Law of Attraction: The Law of Attraction Exposed

I am frequently asked, "Why is it that the Law of Attraction seems to work only for a lucky few?"
In this article, you will learn:
  • Why the Law of Attraction seems not to work for most people.
  • Why it is so important to consciously ask?
  • What is allowing?
The concept of the Law of Attraction can be difficult to get our heads around. This article will lay down the basics for you.
Think back a couple of hundred years. People had no concept of gravity till Sir Isaac Newton got knocked on the head by that apple. It hadn't occurred to him until that moment that some force of nature was at work because if there wasn't, why didn't the apple fall up?
Suddenly, a new branch of science was born which would try to dig up all the facts about this strange force.
In the 1800's a British fellow was experimenting with moving a wire through a magnetic field. He felt a little poke at the ends of the wire. Further experiments led to the discovery of electromagnetism and another strange power was discovered.
View the Law of Attraction as a Universal force that is always with us, always responding to our wishes on a second by second basis.
If you're like me, you look at that statement as strange as the concept of gravity or electromagnetism were in their time. You've seen examples of its manifestations many times. What of the people in this world that keep attracting bad relationships, bad business partners, bad jobs they hate and so on? They are getting what they ask for by focusing so much on these things.
Something in them is subconsciously asking for these bad things and the Universe is responding. It doesn't send us people, places and things that would make our lives a paradise on earth. The network of bad programs in our brains keeps asking, and it keeps giving.
Imagine the Universal force being just like radio waves and the force of gravity. Both of those affect our bodies all the time. Our bodies are stuck to the ground and millions of electromagnetic particles and waves go right through our bodies all the time.
Turn your attention to sunlight. If you are careful, you can enjoy sunlight on yourself, but if you take a magnifying glass and tightly focus the same sunlight, you can get a piece of wood to burn.
I don't like to use the Aladdin analogy, the "Your wish is my command," business. It makes it look as if all you have to do is state your wishes, sit back, grab the remote and let it happen. All the while, your mind is in default mode, dwelling on the same old negative thoughts, always focusing on the same old bad relationships, bad jobs and so forth.
This why the Law of Attraction seems to not work for most people. The truth of the matter is that it works all the time. People don't realize that these requests to the Universe are not "fire and forget" things. We have to stay focused as much as we can on what we want.
Can you see that, somehow, you have to quiet the programs that are running your life?
Why it is so important to consciously ask?
Most of us don't realize that all day long our minds are sending out requests to the Universe. Whether it is for things we want or things we don't want, the answer is always "Yes".
It follows that what appears in our lives are what we asked for subconsciously, the bad things we've been thinking about over and over again. The odd time that something good that we really wanted and thought about often happens, we just attribute it to dumb luck.
What is allowing?
Why would we have to consciously allow what we asked for into our lives? We don't know it, but our negative thoughts act like blockages in the Universe's delivery system.
If we wish for things once or twice and forget about them, the answer from the Universe is always "Yes!", but it can't deliver when the road to your life experience is traffic jammed with thoughts of anger, fear, envy and so on.
The art of receiving. Just like the other parts of the Law of Attraction, we have to pay special attention to keeping our manifestation channel as obstruction free as possible.
The best way to allow is to put your request aside except for times that you feel happy and upbeat. At these times, your manifestation channel tends to be quite free of obstructions and road blocks to allow the good things you have desired.
Getting into the habit of doing this is an art which I cannot go into here. There are many fine books and videos that explain these concepts magnificently. If you feel lost trying to make sense of all this, don't get discouraged. Take your time, start by manifesting small things. What are you manifesting from your subconscious mind? Look around you. What you are experiencing in your life are the manifestations of many of the things you don't want, but which you pay a great deal of conscious attention to. This includes everything from bad jobs to terrible relationships.
By the way, if you would like a list of the 5 resources I have used to change my life by consciously harnessing the Law of Attraction, get a free copy of my 1 page PDF of the 5 resources I used by downloading it here. There is no charge and no email address is asked of you. 2 are free and the other 3 cost just a few dollars. You probably have one of these in your house already! P.S. Don't give up, keep trying and learning. These concepts are "ringing true" for you for a reason.
